Careers in Translation and Interpreting
The ATA Mentoring Program
How to Get Involved
The ATA Mentoring Program begins with an orientation workshop that provides essential training to both mentors and mentees. This 90-minute session looks at the best practices of successful mentors and mentees, introduces tips for structuring a successful mentoring relationship, and provides mentee strategies that newcomers to translation and interpretation can implement immediately.
Participation in the program as a mentor or mentee over the course of a year earns ATA-certified members one Continuing Education Point. This workshop is required for members who want to become mentors or mentees in the ATA Mentoring Program.
