ATA School Outreach: Third Annual School Outreach Contest

Act now to win a free registration to ATA's 48th Annual Conference!

With less than three months left in the school year, it’s time to plan your entry in the 2007 School Outreach Contest. The prize is a free registration to ATA’s 48th Annual Conference in San Francisco (October 31-November 3, 2007).

Career day events are often held in Spring, so this is a great time to call your local school. Don’t miss this opportunity to promote the profession and win a registration voucher valued at up to $295.

Entering the Contest is Easy

  1. Click on ATA School Outreach Presentation Resource Materials.
  2. Pick the age level you like the best – elementary school, middle school, high school, and college/university – and click on it.
  3. Download a presentation and deliver it at your local school or university. If you’re not sure how to get on the school's calendar, see Getting the Gig.
  4. Get someone to take a picture of you in the classroom. Be sure to see page 18 of the March issue of The ATA Chronicle for tips on getting a winning shot, or click now on ATA School Outreach Contest Tips.

How to Submit Your Entry

Email the photograph to ATA's Public Relations Committee with the subject line "School Outreach Contest," or mail it to ATA Headquarters at 225 Reinekers Lane, Suite 590, Alexandria, VA 22314. Don't forget to include your name and contact information, the date of the presentation, the school's name and location, and a brief description of the class. You may submit multiple entries.

Eligibility

Any member of ATA or of any ATA-affiliated organization, including ATA Chapters and Affiliates, is eligible to enter.

Deadline to Enter

Entries must be received by no later than midnight on Monday, July 23, 2007. The winner will be contacted no later than August 20, 2007.
