  • SlavFile Fall 2008
    ATA Slavic Languages Division (SLD)

    The SLD has released the Fall 2008 edition of their quarterly newsletter SlavFile. In addition to all the regulars, this issue features an interview with the 2008 Susana Greiss lecturer, Anthony D. P. Briggs, who recently published a translation of Leo Tolstoy’s War and Peace. Take a look at this edition's "Administrivia" column for an overview of Conference presentations. And don't forget to see page 24 for details on the SLD Annual Banquet.

    ATA Language Technology Division (LTD)

    Look online now for the latest issue of Language Tech News. In addition to the newsletter's familiar columns, this edition explores the use of machine translation in "What is really at stake with MT?" and shortcut keypads in “X-Keys: Convenience to the X-treme."     ATA Translation Company Division (TCD)

    The October edition of TCD News, the ATA Translation Company Division’s newsletter, is now available online. This issue provides a full report of the TCD’s 9th Annual Conference, which took place earlier this year in Denver, Colorado. The newsletter also includes details of the TCD Dessert Reception in Orlando, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Division. Preregistration for this event is required.
