Networking by Design
  • Technology has given us incredible opportunities to work faster and smarter, but it can't replace the simpler approach of shaking hands, asking questions, and getting to know colleagues in person — networking techniques that are now more valuable than ever in an era where everyone seems to be just an email address.

Make face-to-face networking part of your business plan. Register today for ATA's 49th Annual Conference (November 5-8, 2008).
Opportunity Knocks
  • The ATA Literary Division invites applications for a web designer and a volunteer editor for its annual peer-reviewed journal Beacons . There is a small honorarium for both positions. Applicants must be members of ATA. For details, click Beacons XI web designer or editor.
  • Eight ATA Divisions are holding elections this year. Volunteering to serve as a division officer may seem like a leap into the unknown. But the challenge can be well worth it, both professionally and personally. Look for more information online at ATA Division Elections.
