Interpreters Search

An interpreter works with the spoken word, transferring speech from a source language into a target language.


ATA Certification is a testament to a translator's professional competence in translating from one specific language into another. The certification examination tests the language skills of a professional translator: comprehension of the source-language text, translation techniques, and writing in the target language.

The examination does not test interpreting skills.
