Silvana Debonis

• Silvana Debonis holds a degree in (English>Spanish and Spanish>English) translation from the Universidad Católica de Buenos Aires. She has been working in economics and finance since she graduated.

• Silvana has translated for financial institutions, multinational corporations, and the Ministry of Economy of Argentina. She has taught legal translation at the Universidad Católica and Universidad del Salvador, and contrastive grammar at the Universidad del Museo Social.

• Since 1996, she has been training Professionals in Economics, Accounting, and Financial Translation at the Colegio de Traductores Públicos de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires (Association of Sworn Translators of Buenos Aires) and at the Consejo Profesional de Ciencias Económicas de Capital Federal (Association of Public Accountants of Buenos Aires) in Argentina. She has given presentations on English>Spanish Financial Translation at the ATA Annual Conferences in St. Louis (1999) and Orlando (2000).
