Teresa Waldes

• Born and raised in Barcelona, Spain, Teresa Waldes obtained a B.A. from Long Island University, New York. Before finally settling in the U.S., she lived and worked for many years in France. Since 1990 she has been an enthusiastic New Yorker and loves the feeling of living in a global city.

• Her work as a paralegal for a major NY law firm sparked her interest in the field of translation. She graduated from the NYU Translation Program and became ATA-accredited for Spanish-to-English translation.

• For the past five years she has toiled on Wall Street as an in-house legal and financial translator at JP Morgan, juggling English, Spanish, French and Portuguese.
