Beacons XI: Call for Volunteer Web Designer

The ATA Literary Division (LD) invites applications for a web designer for its annual peer-reviewed journal Beacons. The web designer will be responsible for working with the Beacons Editor, the Literary Division Administrator, the Assistant Administrator, and ATA staff. There is a small honorarium for this position.

Beacons XI will be published online in late 2010. The web designer must have skills to create a professional online journal that follows the publishing guidelines established by ATA. The web designer should be prepared to begin work by December 2008. This is a prestigious opportunity for an individual with outstanding web design skills to produce a first-class online literary translation journal.

Applications should include a curriculum vitae and a letter of application that outlines a vision for the layout of Beacons XI that will show its uniqueness while at the same time being reader friendly. Applications should be emailed as a Microsoft Word document to Enrica J. Ardemagni, LD Administrator. The deadline for applications is October 1, 2008. Nominations for candidates for this position will also be taken into consideration. Applicants must be ATA members.
