Job Analysis Focus Group
Wednesday, 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM

You've explained your job at cocktail parties, business meetings, and even to the cashier at the grocery store. Now you have the opportunity make it official in a job analysis focus group. Participants will be asked to offer feedback on prepared statements that describe the job of a translator, such as published articles on translation competence and international standards. Participants must be professional translators. There is no charge to attend this event, but participants must pre-register. For more information, please click here. Breakfast with the Board
Thursday, 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM
Friday & Saturday, 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM

Members of the ATA Board of Directors will be available for informal discussions at specially reserved tables during the scheduled breakfast throughout the conference. Take this opportunity to introduce yourself, ask questions, or convey your ideas.

Presentation of Candidates & Election
Thursday, 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM

Hear the candidates voice their opinions and then let them hear yours by exercising your right to vote for the Board members of your association. You must be an Active or Corresponding member of ATA to vote.

Annual Meeting of All Members
Friday, 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM

Find out what your association has accomplished and the goals that are being set for the future. Members of the audience are given an opportunity to ask questions and make comments to Board members and committee chairs.

All meetings of the ATA Board of Directors are open to the public. All conference attendees are welcome to attend and observe the proceedings.

"Boot Camp" for Newly Elected Division Officers
Saturday, 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM, By Invitation Only

This session will give newly elected division administrators a chance to discuss their future responsibilities. Topics will include: through the year as an administrator—what happens, when, and how; finding your contact in the organization; recruiting and working with volunteers; coordinating the newsletter; delegating tasks in the division; mediating conflicts; communication basics; communicating with the other divisions; and what to do when problems arise.
