Jurassic Parliament: Running Smooth, Efficient, and Fair Board Meetings, Ann G. Macfarlane
This interactive, non-judgmental workshop for volunteer leaders will take the best of Robert's Rules of Order and apply it with flexibility for modern conditions. Participants will practice making motions, amending and discussing them, voting, and using "point of order" to stop rudeness or correct mistakes. You get to have fun throwing dinosaurs around the room while acquiring tools and insights that will make your service in ATA divisions, chapters, affiliates, or on any board of directors more enjoyable and effective.

Leadership Training for Division, Chapter, and Affiliate Group Leaders, Karen M. Tkaczyk and Tess Whitty
Members of ATA Division Leadership Councils and ATA Chapter/Affiliate Boards are invited to attend this interactive training session for volunteer leaders. Topics will include how to get the word out using blogs, newsletters, and social media, and how to recruit, motivate, and manage volunteers. Parallel sessions for areas specific to divisions and chapters/affiliates will include how ATA can help, board member functions, and division of labor.

Presentation of Candidates and Election
Hear the candidates voice their opinions and then let them hear yours by exercising your right to vote for the Board members of your association. You must be an Active or Corresponding member of ATA to vote.

Annual Meeting of All Members
Find out what your association has accomplished and the goals that are being set for the future. Members of the audience are given an opportunity to ask questions and make comments to Board members and committee chairs.
