SDL Trados Studio/MultiTerm for Beginners

The goal of this seminar is to provide support for users with little to no knowledge of how to work with SDL Trados Studio and MultiTerm. While the seminar is intended to be as open as possible to cater to the needs of attendees, the speaker will focus on the basics. Topics will include creating and working with projects, single files, translation memories, and glossaries. Translation workflow and basic editing principles will also be covered. In addition, the speaker will provide a general overview of SDL OpenExchange. The speaker will be using 2015 versions of Studio and MultiTerm, but users of any version will benefit. This seminar is intended for beginners, so think twice before attending if you have more advanced questions!

Déjà Vu for Beginners

This hands-on seminar will teach attendees translation workflow using Déjà Vu X3. We'll review the software’s primary features, such as creating translation memories, term bases, and translation projects, as well as file alignment. Attendees will learn how to update translation memories, conduct a project analysis, and create project templates. We'll practice using some of the software’s most useful features, including deep mining, pre-translation, quality assurance checks, and filtering options. Attendees should bring their own laptops with the downloaded trial version of Déjà Vu X3. Attendees should also download the supplemental material prior to this seminar. Examples will be provided in Spanish.

SDL Trados Studio Advanced

This seminar is intended for users with some experience working in SDL Trados Studio. Topics may include working with batch tasks, global editing of project files, file type options, editing segmentation rules, creating custom file types, regular expressions, XPath, and SDL OpenExchange. The actual content will vary depending on the needs of attendees. The speaker will be using Studio 2015, but users of any version will benefit.

Introduction to memoQ Tutorial

This tutorial will provide attendees with a thorough introduction to memoQ, including how to set up projects. Attendees will also learn about LiveDocs and LiveAlign, memoQ's on-the-fly alignment technology. Translating documents, including those received from other tools, will be discussed. The speaker will provide tips and tricks to help users get the most out of memoQ.
