T&I ADVOCACY DAY

Advocate for yourself and your profession!

In partnership with the Joint National Committee for Languages, ATA will host an all-day advocacy event, complete with training sessions, collaborative working groups, and meetings with Congressional offices and Executive Branch agencies!

First, we’ll learn about Federal issues that impact language services professionals, challenges to and opportunities for growth of the profession, and best practices for advocacy. Then, we’re headed to Capitol Hill for advocacy meetings.

Why advocate?

Advocacy empowers individuals and groups to mobilize around a collective narrative in order to advance policy priorities and other shared goals in a strategic and resource-efficient way.

If we don’t advocate for ourselves,
no one will do it for us!

Organizers will handle all aspects of meeting scheduling and logistics. Transportation from the Washington Hilton to Capitol Hill will also be provided.  Attendees are responsible for their own return transportation back to the Washington Hilton.
