BOWLING PAST AND PRESENT
Conference attendees who are unfamiliar with the 5000-year history of bowling have a great opportunity to erase their ignorance in St. Louis. Just a few minutes' walk from our hotel, across from Busch Stadium, the Bowling Hall of Fame and Museum pays tribute to a popular sport. Visitors may bowl four free frames, and even try an old-fashioned alley, complete with pin setters. The modest admission price also lets you in to the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame Museum. Call (314)231-6340 for details.
If you already enjoy the pleasure of bowling, or are tempted to learn, why not join your colleagues for an evening at the Tropicana Lanes? Sign up on the conference registration form for bowling from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, November 5--shoes, three games, and transportation to and from the Tropicana included. This alley is five minutes' walk from the Galleria, St. Louis' most fashionable mall. Everyone is welcome to participate--this evening ought to be the antithesis of "bowling alone!"
