Donald Rogalski
Description
I began my independent study of Chinese in 1993 when I moved to Taiwan, and felt confident enough in my abilities to start working in translation in 1999. Initially my work was mainly business-related, but soon progressed into the areas of law, science and medicine. Over the years I have translated patents and medical studies to the tune of hundreds of thousands of words, but I always find time for other subjects. As an example, I translated the reviews in Chinese language newspapers of concerts by the New York Philharmonic during their tours of Asia in 2002 and 2008.
