Jana Bundy
Description
I'm a veteran Spanish to English translator and editor now specializing in conservation, biodiversity, and sustainability with 20+ years of experience as a full-time freelance translator (corporate translations mainly related to energy and infrastructure), preceded by three years as an in-house translator (working in sustainable agriculture and aquaculture). Now committed to green issues, I'm returning to my roots (grassroots), having completed a postgraduate summer course in Sustainability with St. Andrews University (Scotland).
One of my most rewarding translation projects to date has been translating proposals for the Convention on the International Trade of Endangered Species (CITES) on the vicuña, queen conch, and arboreal lizard.
In my spare time, I'm a keen walker, nerdy vegetable gardener (especially peppers and tomatoes), and aspiring chef. I'm also a dual American/British citizen and fluent in both American and British English.
