One important detail: I do not work with personal documents, school transcripts, diplomas, criminal records or anything related to visas. If you contact me by phone, please follow up with an email. I carry my iPhone everywhere and I'm more likely to check my emails before I do the same with my voicemail. That way, you will be ensured a quick reply.

I have 31 years of technical translation (including software localization), medical translation, desktop publishing, localization & project management experience under my belt. I have also designed and taught translation courses at a college level (Instituto Dardo Rocha, El Chaco, Argentina). More recently, I designed and taught an online English technical translation course at NYU in the summer of 2013. As part of my goal to become a translation educator, I am currently a PhD candidate working on my thesis (Translation and Terminology Doctoral program, Aveiro University, Portugal).

My MA's studies in audiovisual translation from Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona have provided me with knowledge of subtitling, dubbing, videogame/web/software localization and associated tasks. I have extensive experience translating software, websites, and performing software testing in both Latin American and Castillian Spanish. I also provide InDesign typesetting and desktop publishing services in Spanish and other languages.

I write Spanish and English very well, and I know enough Portuguese to get by in conversation and when reading newspapers, magazines and books. In the meantime, I am easy to get in touch with and provide excellent service. References are provided upon request.

I have experience with memoQ 10.6, SDL Trados 2014 Studio, Deja Vu X3 Pro, Idiom WorldServer 9, Quark Xpress 9/10, Adobe Creative Suite CS6 (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), MS Office applications. in the Windows & Macintosh platforms. I also provide onsite services for my clientele such as software regression testing.

I am currently focused on providing services for my customers as an independent contractor. I strive to work around your workflow and deliver your documents according to your schedule. Remember, I am just an email/phone call away, and I answer very quickly.
