He is an external translator for the World Health Organization in Geneva\, Switzerland\, and an editor for the Pan American Health Organization. He is widely recognized as a leading authority on the translation of English into Spanish clinical trial protocols\, on which he has published a highly sought-after manual on this subject. The second edition sold out in March 2018\, and a third edition is currently in progress. He is also the author of a medical translation dictionary\, mugüMED\, launched in November 2024\, which\, as of September 2025\, contains more than 12\,500 terms.
