SUMMARY:Business Book Club
DESCRIPTION:We write – and speak – for others all the time\, adjusting our work to the client’s glossary\, style guide\, and brand voice as needed. But how do you want to sound when the words are your own? \nThat’s what we’ll talk about at ATA’s first-ever Business Book Club! We’ll discuss Everybody Writes\, Ann Handley’s guide to business writing for marketers and storytellers. Come share opinions\, brainstorm ideas\, and pick a writing strategy to try for yourself. \n(Reading a few chapters ahead of time? Great idea. Reading the whole book? Not necessary. You’re busy\, and that thing’s packed.) \nRegistration is free and open to all ATA members. Due to the interactive nature of this event\, it will not be recorded. \nHosted by ATA’s Business Practices Education Committee

SUMMARY:To-MAY-to\, To-MAH-to: State Laws\, State Lingo\, and the Interpreter's Dilemma
DESCRIPTION:Interpreting criminal charges accurately across state lines is more critical than ever. Learn how to navigate legal terminology differences in a post-COVID\, multi-jurisdictional world.\nLaws differ from state to state\, which can affect the terminology interpreters use in and out of the courtroom. He is active in several professional associations and currently serves on committees for both NAJIT and the ATA.
