Call for Speakers

Speaking at an ATA conference is a challenging and rewarding opportunity. You will gain recognition as an industry leader by sharing your expertise.

Submission is open to everyone

All proposals are selected through a competitive peer-review process. By contributing to the advancement of your profession, you will build your reputation and résumé, widen your networking circle, and position yourself as a key player to help shape the future of the T&I industry.

Speakers come from all over the world and volunteer to share their experience and expertise with all attendees. They are working translators and interpreters, many of whom are also educators, attorneys, physicians, CEOs, and managers.

You do not have to be an ATA member to submit a proposal.

Topics related to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the T&I profession, use of inclusive language in translation and interpreting, and policies and practices regarding inclusive language.

Topics of interest for translators and interpreters who work in educational settings.

Government T&I

Topics of interest for translators, interpreters, and managers who work for or are interested in government language programs at all levels: federal, state, and local.

Professional Forums

An interactive opportunity for translators and interpreters working in a specific language combination or field of expertise to discuss important issues in a collaborative setting (60-minute forums).

Committee Forums

An opportunity to learn about various activities, initiatives, and resources developed by ATA committees, meet committee members, and potentially offer your time and talents as a volunteer (15-minute forums).

A limited number of slots are available. The Conference Organizer will make the final decision based on all proposals received.
