Academically trained and ATA-certified German-to-English translator with 25+ years of experience in legal, medical, pharmaceutical, and regulatory translation. I also offer a specialized service transcribing and translating historical German documents in Kurrent and Sütterlin — the old handwritten scripts most native speakers can no longer read — for genealogists, historians, and families researching their heritage.
I also hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology (Rollins College), a Master of Business Administration degree with concentration in Project Management (University of Texas), and a Master of Science degree with concentration in Nutrition and Human Performance (Logan University). These additional degrees give me working fluency in the subject matter behind the documents I translate, not just the vocabulary. That grounding in behavioral science, business strategy, and clinical/nutritional science lets me read specialized medical, pharmaceutical, regulatory, and business texts the way a subject-matter expert would, so the translation captures the intended meaning, not just a literal rendering.
