I work with universities, hospitals, government agencies, and corporations that need accurate Arabic-English interpretation, translation, and cultural liaison support in high-stakes settings.

My interpretation and translation work began before I formally entered journalism in 2010. Based in Cairo through 2015, I served as a special correspondent and news assistant for TIME, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post, covering the Arab Spring and its aftermath across the MENA region. That work depended on interpreting not just language, but context, stakes, and nuance, and included cultural liaison work supporting foreign editors and visiting reporters navigating the region.

My interpretation work today spans institutional and diplomatic settings: simultaneous interpretation for the UNDP at UN HQ, UNESCO, and Columbia University, certified medical interpretation for hospitals, and language access work with schools and USCIS proceedings.

Credentials include a certified medical interpreter credential from Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, and a coaching consultancy credit for the American Repertory Theater's production of "We Live in Cairo."
