Procedures for Resolutions to be Presented at the Annual Meeting of All Members
Article X of the Bylaws of the American Translators Association, Inc., charges the Board of Directors to adopt procedures for matters presented at the Annual Meeting of All Members.

Procedures for Resolutions to be Presented at the Annual Meeting of Voting Members
Article XI of the Bylaws of the American Translators Association, Inc., charges the Board of Directors to adopt procedures for the introduction of resolutions at the Annual Meeting of Voting Members.


Administrative Procedures for Professional Ethics Proceedings

American Translators Association, Inc. (“ATA”) is a nonprofit professional association of
translators and interpreters dedicated to the promotion and recognition of the translation and interpretation
professions and, in particular, to the formulation and maintenance of standards of professional ethics,
practices, and competence. Therefore, the ATA has adopted a Code of Professional Conduct and Business
Practices (the “Code”) to guide ATA members. Violations of the Code or Article III, Section 6 of the ATA
Bylaws may result in sanctions imposed under these Procedures. These Procedures are adopted to provide
“due process” to members and protect the integrity of the ATA Ethics process.

Board Meetings

The ATA Board of Directors meets four times a year. The meetings are open to ATA members, and the Board Meeting minutes are posted on ATA's website in the Members Only area .
