About the Presenter
Andy Benzo is an EN-ES legal language expert and legal translator with over 35 years of experience. She holds degrees in Law and Translation from her native Argentina and a Paralegal Degree from California State, San Marcos, USA. Andy has been a member of the American Translators Association since 1999, became ATA certified, and is now a member of its Board of Directors. She also works on language standards development at ASTM and ISO. For many years, Andy was an instructor in the Translation and Interpretation Certificate Program at UCSD Extension, where she taught Legal and Business translation; there, she was a founder of ATISDA (Association of Translators and Interpreters in the San Diego Area), serving as its President for six years. Andy is a professional speaker about US Law and Legal Translation at a national and international level. Her company, Juris Mentis, provides language services and training worldwide.
