I am a translator that focuses mainly on translating from Spanish to US English. I was born and educated in the USA and my parents are monolingual Spanish speakers. I also translate simple texts from English into Spanish, and do phone and face to face interpreting. My translations lately have focused on legal contracts, business and finance, marketing, and medical insurance claims. I am always excited when I get a new and challenging text.
I can usually translate 3000-4000 words per day depending on difficulty. My average rate is 10 cents/word for legal and technical. If it is conversational, then I charge 7 cents/word. I'm pretty flexible with budgets and am always willing to negotiate.
