Andre Moskowitz
Description
Andre Moskowitz is a Hispanist, lexicographer, dialectologist, SpanishEnglish, Portuguese>English and Portuguese>Spanish translator, and a SpanishEnglish interpreter. He translates business, legal, technical, journalism and academic texts. In addition to being ATA-certified in the combinations listed below, he is a U.S. federal court certified interpreter (English/Spanish) and a California State court certified interpreter (English/Spanish). Born and raised in the U.S., he taught English in Colombia and Ecuador for four years. He also holds a B.A. in humanities from Johns Hopkins University (1984), an M.A. in translation studies from the City University of New York Graduate Center (1988), and a second M.A. in Spanish with a minor in Portuguese from the University of Florida (1995). Moskowitz has been a frequent speaker at the annual conference of the American Translators Association (1995-2008, 2010-2011, 2013, 2015-2016), and has published 18 articles in the ATA Annual Conference Proceedings (1995-2008, 2010-2011, 2013, 2015).
