I translate Arabic into clear, concise, idiomatic English. My most recent work has been in the finance (financial statements, bank regulation, banking litigation, investment, tax) and legal (contracts, litigation support) fields. I also have provided translations to companies engaged in international trade with the Middle East, to include leading teams to translate tenders/bids and technical manuals from English into Arabic. I have lived in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq, and have traveled to Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, and UAE. I have taught for the NYU online translation program (Introduction and commercial translation), Kent State University (Commercial, Legal, and Diplomatic Translations) and have trained USGOV linguists. I am ATA certified for Arabic - English translation. MemoQ is my CAT tool of choice. This tool allows me to handle SDL, Wordfast, and other formats. I have a Master's Degree in Middle East Studies - Arabic and have studied at the American University in Cairo. I have taken course work for a graduate certificate in Paralegal Studies, and am a current student of Translegal Academy (This provides non-English speaking lawyers with terminology for both UK and US English - very handy for a legal translator) I have a team of both English and Arab native translators and can provide project management for large volume translation projects.
