Description

After receiving a BA in Spanish Studies from the University of Minnesota in 2001, I worked for 2 years in Toluca, State of Mexico, Mexico at CETIP (Centro de Traducción e Instrucción Profesional) as an English teacher and Spanish>English translator. (The company that was CETIP is now part of Krauss Language Solutions.) From April 2006 through July 2017, I worked at Parents In Community Action, Inc. (Minneapolis, MN, USA), where I taught English and Spanish and did translating, proofreading, and interpreting. In August 2017 I passed the CERTIFIED HEALTHCARE INTERPRETER™ – Spanish exam and worked as a medical interpreter from October 2017 through June 2018. My wife and I drove from Minnesota to Guatemala in August 2018 and made the return trip in May 2019. In July of 2019, I returned to Parents In Community Action, Inc. I am not currently looking for freelance work.

In May of 2023, I received a Master of Arts in Exegesis and Theology from Bethlehem College and Seminary in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. I am interested in cross-cultural English & Spanish Christian ministry: demonstrating and proclaiming God's love for humanity, which he expressed by sending his Son Jesus to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins, so that all who trust in him, having thus been reconciled to God the Father, may experience life with fullness of joy both in this world and the next.
