Description
What do you read on the beach? I have always been a particular fan of bilingual dictionaries. While some consider it unusual, I have been passionate about languages and language acquisition since a very young age when I began watching foreign-language TV shows, though I didn't understand a word of the dialogue. After graduating magna cum laude from Stanford University, I pursued my passion for languages as a Rotary Scholar, and later by living and working abroad. The habit of making vocabulary lists in my free time is something I do to date. I am currently an ATA-Certified translator, a Master Editor and a career linguist since 1985. I specialize in accurate, letter-perfect translations that are also beautifully written, such that the translation is "tucked inside" a document that one would never suspect originated in another language. Multilingual multimedia is an additional specialty I have honed for over 20 years since working on my first translated, full-color, printed brochure in 1988, which in later years evolved into multilingual audio/video engineering and full-scale, multilingual websites. I consider it a privilege to serve my clients in a field which I have always loved. I highly regard what my clients have to say, and are trying to say, in other languages, and I consider their messages as important as my own.
