Hello! I am Cailan Adams, a Spanish-to-English translator and native English speaker who lived in the U.S. for 26 years. I've just moved to Guadalajara, Mexico! I have 1.5 years of translation experience and I offer translation, editing, quality assurance checks, transcription, subtitling, voiceovers, monolingual editing, and even translation project management.
I specialize in creative content from the entertainment industry but also have experience with other materials such as text messages and transcripts for court, birth, death, and marriage certificates, transcripts and school surveys, and radiology reports.
I deliver on-time, researched, accurate translations and make a point to be communicative and reply quickly to messages. I use and have my own subscription to Trados Studio 2024 for document translations, and I use Aegisub for subtitling and transcription projects.
I hold a DELE B2 certificate from Instituto Cervantes and a Spanish and Translation certificate from the Metropolitan State University of Denver. I am also a member of the American Translators Association, of Women in Localization, and I am both a member and the Secretary on the board of the Colorado Interpreters and Translators Association.
