Catherine Christaki
Description
After an 11-year successful career as an English-Greek freelance translator, my partner Christos Floros and I launched Lingua Greca Translations in March 2012. Our boutique translation company focuses on software and app localization, medical and technical translation, as well as translating gaming and gambling texts from English, French and German into Greek, and vice-versa.
In 2013, we translated the popular guide for translation buyers, Translation: Getting It Right, into Greek. It provides tips on how to make the right choices in finding a translation provider and how to avoid common pitfalls.
Take a hop on over to our website for more details, a list of clients, and samples of work. If you are a language lover, check out our blog, Adventures in Technical Translation, for posts on translation and languages.
As an avid social media user, I love sharing tips and talking about the benefits and best ways to use social networks. What’s more, this topic is one of my favorites to present at conferences and through online webinars. Check out the Mentions page on our website for details.
Last but not least, my mother’s handpicked Cretan-countryside oregano will go up against any for the title of World’s Greatest. The lucky few to have received a jar of my Cretan oregano can attest to its incredible taste and smell. :) See photos here.
