Description

After obtaining my degree in Economics and working five years in the fast paced Brazilian financial market, I moved to the US and worked as a Trade Commissioner for the Consulate General of Brazil in San Francisco, in addition to my translation work. Currently, I am a full-time translator with vast experience and expertise in a wide array of file formats, including Trados Translation Memory. I am also a member of the ATA Portuguese Language Division (PLD) and the Northern California Translators Association (NCTA).

Responsibilities may include website and software localization; translation of documents, brochures, video scripts, manuals and texts in general; reviewing material to be suitable culturally and to maintain conformance to style standards, vocabulary and grammar of the Portuguese language used in Brazil; research; subtitling; telephone interpreting; and abstracting.
