I’m Daniela E. Obregón, a freelance English into Spanish translator, conference interpreter, and founder of Connected Care, a boutique translation agency. I help healthcare providers, nonprofits, and global organizations deliver information that is clear, accurate, and culturally adapted so their Spanish-speaking audiences can be fully engaged.

With a Master of Science in Translation from New York University, a postgraduate degree in Conference Interpreting, years of experience as a medical translator, and extensive interpreting work, I combine solid professional training with hands-on expertise.

My background includes research on palliative care and the role of interpreters. I also deliver webinars and workshops for medical providers, including bilingual staff, on how to effectively partner with interpreters to improve health equity. I have presented on translation and interpreting topics at conferences in Nebraska, Oregon, California, New York, Florida, Mexico, and Argentina.

In addition, I serve as Interim Administrator of the American Translators Association’s Interpreters Division (2022–2026) and collaborate with the American Translators Association’s Professional Development Committee, staying at the forefront of best practices, training, and advocacy for our profession.
