Description

My primary focus is regulatory and scholarly material in the life sciences. I have a solid foundation in the Japanese language, as well as a close familiarity with specialized subjects such as the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency approval process and the system and culture of Japanese healthcare and social insurance. My writing in English is clear, grammatical, and consistent, and I am well-versed in references like the AMA Style Guide and the Global English Style Guide. When it comes to subject matter, I have a well-rounded understanding of the science, regulatory process, and business of pharmaceuticals and medical devices and the ability to get quickly up to speed on topics that are new to me. While the life sciences make up the large majority of my business, I’m also experienced with patents, contracts, marketing surveys, and a wide variety of other legal, business, and educational material.


I received ATA certification in 2005 and spent 10 years as a grader and language chair for the program. I’m an active member of the ATA and the American Medical Writers Association, and I consider continuing education a vital part of my job.
