Born and grew up in a Chinese-and Indonesian speaking Chinese family (immigrated from China) in Indonesia.

Studied Indonesian and Chinese in Indonesia and also at the local Chinese school before further study in China in 1957.

Graduated from Nankai University, China, in Languages (Chinese and English) and Translation Studies (including Chinese, Indonesian and Malay).

Studied Documentary Film and Journalism at New York University.

Highly skilled professional translator and interpreter from English to the above three languages and vice versa since 1963.

Have been working as translator and interpreter for many translation companies and famous multi-national corporations in the U.S., China, Indonesia and Malay for nearly 40 years. Some involved major projects in the various fields such as trade, business, law, industry and documentary film making.

Also working for delegations from China, Indonesia and Malaysia on business visits or conferences in the U.S. Have also translated several major books and important documents and reports into and from the above three languages.
