18 years in the field. More than ten years only in the IT area, both as a free-lancer and as an internal translation consultant in leading software companies and/or translation agencies. My background in the software industry includes translation, editing, proofreading, testing and bug reporting of UI and documentation (both electronic and hardcopy), such as user guides, training kits, operating manuals, marketing texts and Internet content.
End clients which project I have worked for: Microsoft, Sabic. IBM, Oracle, Netapp, Merck,Informatica Corporation, Rohm-Haas, Dow, Intel, Netflix, and many others
Other activities: glossary translation/maintenance, QA procedures, writing of QA manual, basic DTP, terminology research and standardization, bilingual dictionary translation.
Experience in the translation of medical devices and documentation. QA/Assessment of translations done within the target audience and also delivered from vendors (feedback included).
Translation and editing of texts and books from Human Sciences.
Hired as an ERP system translation tester for the USA (UI QA, bug reporting, translation checking, DTP alignment and running) and had leadership positions in Quality Control for lcalization projects.
Other work experiences include translation of auditing procedure manuals, chemical processes and products, as well as long-term experience in medical/pharmaceutical areas in clinical trials, equipments and specialized software.
