Description

A native French speaker, I have strong writing skills in my native language and a passion for finding the right word. A former teacher, I have a perfect command of the subtleties of my native language, and an eye to spot errors. I am fluent in written and spoken English.

My linguistic education include a maîtrise, a French degree equivalent to a Master’s degree, in Applied Foreign Languages (English and Spanish) and a Certificate in Translation from English to French, both diplomas obtained with honors. I spent several years in the USA as an exchange student and later as an assistant professor of French at Rice University, in Houston, Texas.

My translation experience includes medical documents, personality assessment tests and their interpretation documentation, as well as various business communication and technical documents. I am also very interested in translating psychology texts and documents as I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Curious and eager to learn, I am always on the lookout for new discoveries and am ready to explore and deepen my knowledge in my areas of interest.

Fully computer literate, I use Trados Studio 2011 and am proficient in the Office 2010 Pro Suite.
I am a dedicated professional with attention to detail and precise terminology.
