I am a freelance translator with over 25 years of experience. I have translated documents in a variety of fields such as; law, business, finance, health care, advertising, contracts, politics and education. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish Secondary Education and a Master's Degree in Spanish Literature and Linguistics. I have been a Spanish teacher at a public high school for 20 years. I have also worked as an interpreter for the New York State court system for 20 years. I have worked in immigration court for eleven years. I have been working as a telephonic interpreter for 16 years. From July of 2006 until June of 2007 I taught English, Linguistics, History and Translating in Corrientes, Argentina as part of the Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program. While in Corrientes for several months I wrote a biweekly human interest column in Spanish for the newspaper "La Epoca". Some of the topics were about our stay in Corrientes, differences between our city and Corrientes and my impressions of life in Northeastern Argentina.
I also translate from Portuguese into English.
