Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jamila Del Mistro. I am a registered court interpreter in the Azerbaijani language with the State of California. I am also a certified court interpreter in the Russian language with the State of California. I am licensed as a court interpreter, active and in good standing in the following states: California, Illinois, Nevada, Oregon, Kansas, Wisconsin, Colorado, Ohio and Washington.
I am a DOJ EOIR certified (under the contract with SOSi) court interpreter. I have worked as an interpreter in the immigration field since 2008. I have a master’s degree in Comparative Law from the University of San Diego. I have a Bachelor’s degree with honors in Legal Studies from Khazar University, Baku, Azerbaijan. I have a second Bachelor’s degree with honors in International Relations from Khazar University, Baku, Azerbaijan. I am a member of the American Translators Association (ATA) and National Association of Judicial Interpreters and Translators (NAJIT). I complete 60 hours of training every year. I am happy to offer an interpretation service for attorney-client conferences, depositions, court hearings, court ordered events and asylum interviews. I have experience translating legal documents such as contracts, court evidentiary documents, vital records and others. I would be happy to help you with all your legal translation needs.
