Karen Friedman is an Indianapolis, Indiana, based full-time translator/interpreter/editor-proofer/teacher with over 35 years of language-centered experience in business and education. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science Degree with Distinction in Spanish Language and Secondary Education. She also has been awarded membership into the noted Phi Beta Kappa, an honor accorded only to those in the top 1% of the nation's Arts and Letters graduates.

Karen's extensive experience includes 7 years of teaching Spanish syntax, grammar and conversation at all secondary levels in both public and private institutions. She has also worked for 7 years in International Marketing as Latin American Marketing Specialist and in-house linguist with responsibility for all Latin American and Spanish-language client communications for a major Fortune 500 company. For 18 years she ran her own construction business with a specialty in residential remodeling work. She now devotes her professional time exclusively to language translation, interpretation, and associated activities in a variety of venues, including working as a qualified and trained Medical Interpreter with full Certification.

Through her full-time translation business, ELOQUENCE Language Services LLC, Karen provides immediate translation and interpretation in SpanishEnglish as well as English editing and proofing. She also provides other language combinations upon request.
