Michelle Lebowe is a native New Yorker with native proficiency in English and Portuguese. She has been residing in Fortaleza, Brazil, for 20 years. With 24 years of experience in Brazil and abroad, her expertise includes translating documents across various fields and providing escort, consecutive, and simultaneous interpretation at national and international events. Her notable work includes interpreting for the U.S. Ambassador to Brazil, international and national events and conferences with a range of themes that spreads across the medical, legal, and technical fields, community interpreting, as well as high-level executive meetings, both in-person and remotely. Selected as a translator and interpreter for the Court of Justice of the state of Ceara (Brazil), through a qualification-based tender to choose an individual consultant for this purpose, under the guidelines of the Inter American Development Bank (funding party). She is a member of ATA and SINTRA.
