• Official English-Spanish interpreter and translator appointed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Costa Rica since November 2000, upon passing the corresponding certification exams at the School of Modern Languages of the Universidad de Costa Rica.
• English teacher at public and private schools for six years in Costa Rica, teaching all levels of instruction from elementary to post-secondary education.
• Completed the Central American English Teacher Training Certificate Program at the School for International Training in Brattleboro, VT, in March of 1989, sponsored by the former United States Information Agency (USIA).
• Native Spanish speaker with 15 years' experience in Costa Rica and 15 years' experience in the US in the translation and interpretation fields specializing in law (Workers' Compensation), health care, business, finance, education, social services and immigration.
• Worked providing English-Spanish translation services for the World Service Office of AFG Headquarters, Inc. in Virginia Beach, VA, from September 2006 to April 2018.
• Competent and available for freelance translation assignments.
