Recent translations include industrial instruction manuals from English into French, international commercial real estate contracts from French into English, scientific extracts from Louis Pasteur Institute in Paris from French into English as well as numerous magazine articles for U.S. based publisher from Italian into English.
Additional French/Italian translation experience and aptitude in the fields of politics, religion and sociology during 3 1/2 years "pro bono" assignment at the Vatican Mission to the United Nations in New York City. Attended numerous conferences as delegate and translated many UN documents, briefs and speeches, including book written by Pope John Paul II in Italian.
Significant experience and aptitude in film/commercial subtitles and text translation during 9 years living and working in NYC.
Frequent business/educational travel to Europe - France, Italy, Spain - spanning more than 15 years.
Experience in living/studying abroad in Paris, France (Certificates in Business French/French History). Also lived in Tokyo, Japan for 4 1/2 years and possess an in-depth knowledge of Japanese culture, traditions and mindset. Conversational Japanese.
