Rose Mauricette
Description
I'm a Haitian Creole translator and interpreter born and raised in Haiti, so I get the language and the culture behind it. I've worked with hospitals, courts, nonprofits, and schools helping people communicate when language gets in the way.
I do medical interpreting—doctor's visits, intake forms, explaining treatment to patients. I work with lawyers on immigration cases and other legal stuff. Schools bring me in when they need to talk to Haitian families. I also translate documents for businesses and government agencies.
What matters to me is making sure people really understand each other, not just word-for-word translation. There's nuance in Haitian Creole that English doesn't capture, and I know how to bridge that gap.
If you need interpretation for an event or appointment, or translation work on documents, I'm available. I work with organizations on ongoing projects or take on individual jobs as needed.
