Description

A member of both the AITC (International Association of Conference Translators) and the SFT (Société française des traducteurs), I have more than 20 years experience in French to English translation and revision, both as a freelance translator for a wide range of public and public agencies, businesses and industries; and, for the past 23 years, as English translator and now English Translator/Reviser for the Pacific Community's Translation and Interpretation Section. SPC is the Pacific's oldest and largest regional organization and has been providing technical assistance, policy advice, training and research services to 22 Pacific Island countries and territories in areas such as health, human development, agriculture, forestry and fisheries for more than six decades.

My work covers a wide range of complex technical documents including working papers for meetings, technical and scientific materials for publication, financial reports, legal documents and contracts. The subject areas are quite diverse, e.g. oceanic and coastal fisheries and aquaculture activities; agriculture, forestry, animal health and stock production, pest control, all aspects of public health, demography, statistics, culture; rural development; renewable energies; women’s and youth development; information and communications technology and mining activities, for both the public and private sectors, including international and national governmental and non-governmental agencies and organizations, development and scientific agencies, universities and commercial/mining industry clients.
In addition to my translation and revision duties, I have been serving as Acting Section Manager since 2011.
