MA in Hispanic Studies, completed all doctoral courses toward doctorate in Hispanic linguistics, BM in Ethnic Music Theory.
Worked five years as manager of cross cultural communications at hospital, overseeing interpreting, translations, interpreter-training and training of staff on working with interpreters.
Taught Spanish, linguistics and translations at the college level.
Worked four years as translator at international law firm, as part of team with attorneys licensed in the U.S. and in Mexico.
Worked six years in Argentina as translator/ editor for a magazine.
Taught Spanish to navy staff preparing for the DLPT.
Currently teach ESL at Elgin Community College, and work as conference/freelance interpreter and translator/consultant.
