TRANSLATED S.R.L. is a leading Multi-Language Service Provider, based in Rome, Italy. TRANSLATED is a private company founded in 1999 by a linguist and a computer scientist with the aim of exploiting technology to increase the quality of human translation, while reducing its turnaround time and cost. To date, technology is at the basis of the company’s everyday commitment towards supporting its clients’ business needs from a linguistic standpoint. The investment done in developing bespoke systems for human resources, project management, and translation memory management have proven to be effective: the use of technology to guarantee quality, reliability and professionalism is one of the reasons TRANSLATED has developed a loyal following of clients and translators. This has enabled the company to grow quickly in recent years and continues to distance itself from its global competitors. TRANSLATED has managed translation projects for over 37,000 clients and the translation work of over 80,000 translators from its headquarters based in Rome.
TRANSLATED, an UNI EN ISO 9001 and UNI EN 150358 certified company, has a well-established experience in delivering different typologies of documents for clients from all sectors into a multitude of language combinations. Proprietary technologies such as T-Rank, MyMemory and workflow management tools are a few examples of how innovation is applied to the language sector. TRANSLATED’s philosophy is to increase translator productivity, enabling translators to produce higher volumes of quality work through the use of technology and tools, and as a result allowing them more time to do what they do best: translate. The Project Management System (PMS) developed by TRANSLATED ensures the timeliness of translations as it allows the project managers to quickly identify where extra attention is needed so that they may focus on what is important and not lose time on administrative details. This approach goes hand-in-hand with the application of a continuous quality control of the translators’ work and outputs: translation skills and quality are not only checked at the beginning of the relationship with a translator, his/her performance continues to be monitored during the implementation of each assignment, thanks to the quality checks as well as specific tools such as T-Rank and Client Quality Feedback (CQF) incorporated into the Project Management System.
