In September of 1995, Lawrence P. Costa, former Command Language Program Manager of 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne), founded WorldWide Language Resources, Inc.(WWLR) as a language consulting firm. WWLR is a diverse company formed by associates having extensive international experience operating in countries on five continents. Our principals have over forty years combined experience in international operations management. The high quality professional products and services of WWLR are always delivered on time and in any place in the world. We have an expanded marketing scope which includes the needs of Government and Defense Organizations as well as academia and industry. Initially, WWLR specialized in foreign language instruction, interpretation, and translation, as well as proficiency testing, textbook development and editing, and analysis of language training programs. These services were primarily provided to the intelligence community and Department Of Defense Special Operations Forces. Our mission expanded in 1997 to include professional communication-based and specialized/technical language training for business clients.

WWLR is headquartered in Rumford, Maine and has affiliate representatives throughout the United States and the world. Additionally, we are a certified HUBZone business. We are in compliance with all state and federal regulations; to include worker’s compensation insurance laws and other required insurance provisions. Our Company is a financially sound with a corporate culture that has in place policies and procedures that have withstood the only true test of soundness: time.

The American Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET) nationally accredits WWLR not only for the quality of their training programs but also for the quality of the management and organization of WWLR as a whole. ACCET is one of thirteen organizations chartered by the US Department of Education to award accreditation.
