Meghan Konkol is an ATA-certified French>English freelance translator specializing in international development, human resources, and marketing and communications. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Language, Literature, and Translation (concentration in French to English translation) from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and English from Lawrence University. She has lived, worked, and studied in the United States, Canada, France, and Senegal. Prior to starting her translation business in 2015, she worked for several years at a global language services provider in project and French quality management positions. Meghan served on the Midwest Association of Translators and Interpreters (MATI) Board of Directors both as Director and acting Vice President (2013-2017). She has also served as the coordinator of ATA’s School Outreach Program, which is a special project of ATA’s Public Relations Committee (2011-present). She serves as Chair of ATA’s Membership Committee (2020-present).
