Yasmin Alkashef is an ATA-certified Arabic>English translator, a certified court interpreter, and a conference interpreter. She has an MA in translation studies and a PhD in interpreting studies from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. She teaches interpreting as an adjunct faculty at both NYU and UMass Amherst. Yasmin is the current assistant administrator of the Arabic Language Division, a member of the Interpreters Division leadership council, and a member of the ATA Professional Development Committee. Her interests include interpreting, interpreter training, localization, and cultural consultancy.
