On March 27, Congress passed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, a $2-trillion emergency relief fund to assist Americans during the COVID-19 shutdown. While the legislation is historic in many ways, the inclusion of self-employed workers and independent contractors is unprecedented and of great importance to many ATA members. In this special edition of the ATA Podcast, Host Matt Baird speaks with ATA President Ted Wozniak and ATA President-Elect Madalena Sánchez Zampaulo about the CARES Act and the impact of COVID-19 on language professionals.
